This class will venture into some of the more advanced editing tools that are offered within PowerMill software. The dynamic machine control and editing within a region will be the topics of discussion. We will demonstrate live these editing tools.

This hands-on lab will teach you built-in Revit methods that let your Revit families flex like never before. Multiple, positionable 3D grip handles for sliding doors, grip handles that are formula drivers, and grip handles with visibility are just a couple of the examples we'll cover in this lab. So let's have some fun by giving the infamous reference plane a little bit of a break, and get our hands dirty with awesome stretch methods that have been hiding in the Revit Family Editor all along!

Understanding railings in Revit software is difficult to begin with, but creating custom handrails is an additional challenge. Often the various railing components available, and the traditional methods to combine the components into a railing, are not adequate for the creation of desired handrails. For this reason, creating work-arounds, or hacks, is necessary to achieve the desired look. In this session, we will discuss some options regarding how to customize handrails and how they are created. This session will share several nontraditional procedures that you can use in projects to create customized handrails—be sure to be ready to share your hacks too! This session isn’t going to show handrails as trains, canopies, or anything else. It will show how to use the tools we have to make them meet our requirements. There are many alternative assembly techniques that can help you to produce great results. This class is for drafters who have made their way through a basic Autodesk Inventor software training course, but who are having difficulty using Inventor in production, particularly on bespoke, one-off projects. This class focuses on "alternative" assembly modeling techniques in Inventor that can help you build unique, fully parametric models quickly and simply without the nightmare of assembly constraints and circular adaptive references. This class will benefit drafters from all engineering and manufacturing industries. Attendees should have working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor. If you produce bespoke, unique, one-off digital prototypes—this class is for you.

How often have you gone to a training class, returned to the office, and forgot what you've learned? This class covers reasons for training (or not training) your employees and what managers can do to make sure their people are in the right classes at the right times. We will also look into the ways individuals learn when they attend a training class and how they can retain that knowledge. Finally, it covers ways in which managers can help their employees to retain class knowledge.

In this class, we'll cover the creation of Revit templates with focus on using Fabrication Parts in Revit. We'll cover the hows and whys, and, more specifically, focus on managing title blocks, Schedules, Tag Families, Visibility Graphics, and Filters.

Dynamo Studio is typically associated with Revit; however, it offers a fantastic platform for algorithmic-driven design and easy parameter manipulation in Fusion 360. It also features great T-spline and surface support for complex geometry creation, for those wishing to bring a degree of parametric control to their surfacing with ease. In short, it makes sense to learn this program alongside Fusion 360, and build a community for this, which this talk hopes to kick start.
