Amplify Your Plug-Ins and Forge Dashboards to Full-Stack with AWS Amplify
In this class, you'll learn how to use AWS Amplify to connect your Autodesk add-ins to a database and let your users exchange data. You'll also learn how to use AWS Amplify and React to host the Forge Viewer to build clients custom web dashboards with authentication for your clients. AWS Amplify is a complete solution you can use to build and host full-stack applications, letting you concentrate on app development and avoid spending time and money on server maintenance and complex admin tasks. Adding database, account authentication, file storage, and several other functions can be achieved quickly using a command line interface, which makes it very easy to start new projects.

Public Restroom Design Transformed by Automated Design Systems Using Forge
We developed A-SPEC, a computational design tool that aims to be a partner for architectural designers, based on the concept of "thinking together about RESTROOMS.” For any specified space, the cloud-based A-SPEC program will run multiple simulations and propose some better restroom-layout plans from tens of thousands of ideas. The design know-how that we’ve proposed in the past is utilized throughout the program to evaluate both the automatic calculations and the layout of the automatic design results derived from those calculations. The design results are converted into a 3D model using Forge Viewer, with veracity confirmable by the human eye. Finally, the results can be linked to Revit software and AutoCAD software via the Design Automation API. In addition to reducing design work time, this tool enables generalization and uniformity of design accuracy without relying on the individual know-how of designers.

Implementation of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) on Industrial Projects
Learn how to implement Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes through the use of iConstruct. This class will develop the skills required to process the model from the desktop to the cloud utilizing the iConstruct Forge AWP application. Learn about the opportunities to create efficient workflows through the use of the iConstruct tool suite and how this will enable efficient Work Package management in the Forge Viewer. Learn strategies on how to optimize the model, such as changing the hierarchy of the model, data integration, status visualization, work hours, and the addition of further Work Pack attributes. Plus, see how this may integrate with BIM 360 Docs software and other project systems.

Leveraging data through ACC Connect and Forge
This masterclass will cover how to link PlanGrid with next-generation BIM 360 Docs software by utilizing the power of data collection through BIM 360 workflows and PlanGrid field reports. Campus and City Rapid-Energy Modeling and Data-Driven Forge Dashboard
Federal, state, local, and city governments are setting ambitious targets for reducing energy consumption of existing buildings through building retrofits. A challenge has been the scaling of energy analysis across large building portfolios in order to identify and prioritize the buildings and retrofit measures. Prior methods were limited to single buildings, but this session will introduce new capabilities that enable evaluation of entire building portfolios with minimal data inputs required. Results are presented dynamically in the context of a digital model and a custom Forge-based building portfolio management dashboard that serves as an executive summary for users or consumers of the rapid energy modeling (REM) tools, and enables easier communication and understanding of the workflow and results with clients. The session is intended for owners and managers, including the Department of Defense (DoD); federal, state, and local government; airports; higher education; architectural firms; and planning entities.

Forging BIM Configurator for HVAC Systems
The industry is moving from mass production to customized solutions, creating a tremendous increase in the demand for custom BIM (Building Information Modeling) software solutions. However, custom solutions are expensive to develop. With Forge, you can build custom BIM configurators with minimum investment and time. We created a custom simulation app for HVAC professionals to produce a sustainable design. The app simulates the performance of design spaces and HVAC systems configuration in the cloud. The class will demonstrate how to use Forge to create a new user-defined office build space. We will elaborate on how the assembly of complex 3D HVAC system configurations can be created. You will see how Revit design automation APIs can construct an accurate intelligent model on the server. Attendees will learn these techniques, as well as how to create vast varieties of online BIM system configurators such as kitchen design, furniture design, infrastructure design, and others.

Introduction to BIM 360 Docs API
In this class, we will introduce you to BIM 360 Docs software’s API. BIM 360 Docs software is a cloud-based document management system tailored specifically for construction projects. As the document at the center of BIM 360 family products, BIM 360 Docs software promises to play an important role for unified development of the BIM 360 mobile and web platform. BIM 360 Docs software provides an API as a part of the Forge Platform Data Management API. Using the Forge Platform API, you can access documents stored in BIM 360 Docs software, display models using the Viewing API, and search data in the model. Using the API, for example, you can automate updating models from external applications, make a report to keep track of a team’s progress, and connect your own web services applications with BIM 360 Docs projects. We will show you how to get started with the BIM 360 Docs API, share examples of use cases, and demonstrate what you can do using the BIM 360 Docs API. This session features BIM 360 Docs and Forge. Using iLogic with Design Automation for Inventor to Create a Configurator
Design Automation for Inventor software generally enables the desktop APIs to be used in the cloud—similar to how they would work on the desktop, but without the need of any installed software or dependent licenses. An additional, easily overlooked advantage of Design Automation for Inventor is its capability to run iLogic scripts in the cloud. These scripts being embedded in the CAD file itself can be programmed to auto execute under certain conditions. This class will address taking advantage of this capability to combine the Forge Design Automation API with iLogic to create a configurator by modifying an input Inventor file (IPT) in the cloud, according to the inputs provided by the user on an easy-to-use user interface. The results can be viewed immediately on a web browser using the Forge Viewer API, and are available for download in multiple formats such as IPT, IDW, and PDF. This web application sample uses the latest web technologies and is OS independent and mobile-device friendly.

Manufacturing Informed Design API On Autodesk Forge

Today, building design decisions are not informed by what can be made. Construction processes are iterative, manual, slow, and reactive, with high risk and uncertainty. Data and tools are disconnected and don’t allow processes to work at scale. In this session, we'll go over our Manufacturing Informed Design project. We’ll examine how it brings together our portfolio to inform the design process as early as possible, and we’ll look at how the Autodesk Forge API we’re developing for this will enable our customers and partners to extend our solution. The Manufacturing Informed Design API will be a simple way for customers to 1) publish product templates from Inventor software into Autodesk Construction Cloud or Fusion Team, 2) discover those product templates via the API or Revit, and 3) customize and insert variants from a simple API. We’ll also cover how we’re extending the Autodesk Forge Viewer for simple low- or no-code configuration workflows.
