    Description

The design process is extremely complex, including dozens of participants from various disciplines required to manage thousands of pieces of information. To deliver an accurate, fully coordinated, virtually constructed model, we must provide an environment that promotes collaboration, communication, and access to current information. Attendees of this class will learn how to use the BIM 360 tools to gain the clarity necessary to succeed. We will demonstrate how to create a common data environment (CDE) in BIM 360 Docs software, generating live links to Revit models with BIM 360 Design software. We’ll show how to use BIM 360 Issues and RFIs to facilitate coordination activities during the design process providing a space for open and clear communication. And we’ll show how BIM 360 Glue software ensures that hard-to-find clashes are taken care of during design. By the end of the class, participants will understand how to reshape processes to deliver fully coordinated and data-rich Revit models, inclusive of shop drawing information before 100% construction documents.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to create an intuitive common data environment in BIM 360 Docs that fosters collaboration and delivers clarity for the VDC team
    • Learn how to use live Revit links in BIM 360 Design (Collaboration for Revit) to facilitate real-time collaboration for the VDC team
    • Learn how to use BIM 360 Issues/RFIs to foster clear, concise communication for the whole VDC team ensuring that a VC model is achieved
    • Learn how to manage projects with clarity, expedite design, achieve excellence, and enable construction to be completed on time and within budget
