Once, BIM design data and GIS location data were 2 separate worlds, and it took work to make them work together. With the partnership between Autodesk and Esri that began in 2017, both companies have been working to create a seamless integration. In this Theater talk from AU 2018, Chris Andrews of Esri explains why this collaboration is vital for increasing sustainability in construction and how far they’ve come since it began.

Chris Andrews is a group product manager at Esri, where he works with a team on Smart Cities, 3D, and GeoEnabled Systems. He previously worked for Autodesk and holds a master’s degree from the University of Rochester.
