Brandon Ionata of StrucSoft sees a much-needed revolution in construction coming—and it starts with robots
Since the industrial revolution 200 years ago, the way we build hasn’t changed much. For starters, it’s inefficient and wasteful—in fact, experts estimate that 40% of landfill content comes from construction sites. In addition, there is a shortage of skilled labor in the construction industry. How can we solve these challenges? Brandon Ionata of StrucSoft Solutions proposes an answer: robots and automation. Using 3 projects as examples, he predicts that within the next few decades the construction process will undergo an important and much-needed revolution.

Brandon Ionata is the director of Sales and Marketing at StrucSoft Solutions, where he has been working for the last 6 years developing, selling, and supporting software solutions for the AEC market. He holds a degree from Concordia University.
